11/05/09 : We are very excited to announce that Del Castillo will be releasing a new CD entitled "Vintage Reserve" just in time for the holidays!! The date has been set for 11-17-09!! This special, online-only digital download, release will contain songs that have been written over the past ten years but have never made it onto a cd or even been played live! We've kept them in the "wine cellar" for many years but now feel that the time is right to let them be heard! These songs show many different musical sides of Del Castillo so we hope you enjoy them!! 09/15/09 : After speaking with our German label this morning, they have informed us that, in order to make the most impact on our first European tour in support of the new Del Castillo cd, they will need more time to plan and prepare venues, and also for promotion/marketing. We were really trying to go back into Germany by the end of this year and they were very supportive of that, however, they will need more time to plan, and as they said, they want to do it right the first time. It takes a lot of time and coordination to plan a European tour! They already have more great ideas for the European market for Spring of next year and we will be planning a full blown tour into hopefully other countries as well, such as Spain and Amsterdam. We hope that those of you who were trying to plan for a trip to Germany in November to support Del Castillo will understand. As always, thank you for your love and support! 09/04/09 : Austin, TX based Latin/Rock group Del Castillo just inked an exclusive European Union licensing and distribution deal with The Music Agents, according to the bands’ manager Preston Sullivan of Global Eyes Entertainment. The deal includes the complete catalogue of Del Castillo as physical and digital products. The first release is their current US CD, the self-titled “Del Castillo,” which will be released on The Music Agents label through the SOLO Musica company. With years of music business experience, managing partners, Hubert Haas and Michael Klapka, run The Music Agents two German offices in Hamburg and Munich. Klapka explains, “The Music Agents provides independent artists with the opportunity to get their products released via the different sales channels, and we support the artists on all relevant issues, including replication, distribution, marketing, promotion and booking.” Adds Sullivan, “ The band, management and publishers are very excited to have the opportunity for Del Castillo’s music and live performances to finally get out in front of the European marketplace. Del Castillo will keep all their rights and, at the same time, get to work with such a great group of folks at The Music Agents/ SOLO Musica label. We are all energized to say the least!”
